AI that works inside one notebook
Name the goal, answer a few questions and get a working structure where AI reads only this notebook’s sources and the result lives as its own document.
Oleg is opening a small homeware store. Over three weeks he has talked to AI about delivery, about the first twelve products and about the checkout page, in three separate chats. On Monday he wants to send the plan to his partner and cannot find where the decision about courier delivery was made. He scrolls, finds a version of it and is not sure it is the final one.
This is the problem behind the direction. A chat keeps the whole history but no structure: the result is whatever the last message says, the sources are scattered across tabs, and there is no place where “we decided this, because of that” is written down. Every return to the idea starts with explaining it again.
A notebook that remembers why
Oleg will open a notebook called “homeware store” and write one line about what he wants to end up with. AI will ask who the customer is and what goes into the first batch, then propose sections: audience, catalogue, delivery, launch. In the delivery section he can run two branches side by side, courier and pickup point, mark the better parts with “Keep” and get a consolidated plan where every line links back to the discussion it came from. His partner gets the plan; the chats can stay closed.
We are building this now. Before it goes out we have to check that AI reads only the sources Oleg put in this notebook and nothing from his other projects, and that the estimate shown before an expensive request matches what is charged.

What is in scope
We are building this now. You write what you want to end up with, AI asks a few questions and proposes sections; inside a section you can run two branches side by side, mark the useful parts and get a consolidated document with the discussion visible behind each line. Before release we have to check two things: that AI sees only the sources a person is allowed to see, and that the estimate shown before an expensive request matches what is actually charged.
Where it stands
We are building this now. The first pieces are the interview that sets up a notebook, the sections it proposes and the result document that lives apart from the discussion. Branches and the consolidated document come next. No date yet; we will say when there is something to try.
